QUICK READ: Don’t own a headset yet? Start with a wireless Meta Quest or Pico model. Virtual reality lets you dive into the action. You'll punch, block, and move just like in real life. Learn the controls, follow your headset’s safety tutorial, install the game and get ready for immersive, full-body Taebo Reboot training at home.
Virtual Reality (VR) lets you step inside a world that feels real. When you put on a VR headset, you’ll see a 3D environment all around you, as if you’re standing inside the game. You’ll move, punch, and dodge just like in real life, and your actions are tracked by the headset and controllers. It’s a full-body experience that makes fitness exciting, engaging, and immersive.
Taebo Reboot also support the Mixed Reality (MR) mode which blends the virtual world with the real one. You’ll still see your surroundings, but the game adds digital objects that appear in your actual space. For example, you might see the heavy bag and other pieces of equipment hanging in the middle of your living room. It’s a safe and powerful way to train without disconnecting from your own environment. You can even watch TV while working out!

Taebo Reboot works on Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S, and Pro, as well as Pico Neo3 Link, Pico 4, Pico 4 Pro and Pico 4 Ultra. These are wireless VR headsets, no PC or cables required. Just charge your headset, connect it to Wi-Fi, download the game, and you’re ready to play. The game takes only a few minutes to install, and once it’s downloaded, you can play even without an internet connection.
If you’re new to VR, you can find Meta Quest headsets online at meta.com, on amazon.com, or in most large retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, or Target across North America and Europe. In Asia and parts of Europe, Pico headsets can be purchased through the official Pico XR website, regional online marketplaces, or selected tech retailers. Always check local availability, as store offerings may vary.
You’ll use the two controllers that come with your headset to throw punches, block, and interact with the world. They are held like a pistol and track your hands precisely, so every movement counts. Whether standing or seated, the game adapts to you, but standing helps unlock the full Taebo Reboot experience.
If you’re playing on a Pico Headset, you can also use Pico Motion Trackers to take your Taebo training to the next level. These small sensors attach to your ankles and let the game capture your kicks and lower-body moves with great accuracy. They bring the full-body feel of Taebo Reboot to life, letting you train balance, coordination, and power more completely. Pico leg trackers are available through the official Pico XR and authorized distributors.

Keep your headset charged and with some free space for updates. For frequent play, use a comfort strap and/or sweat-resistant pad. Clean and air-dry your headset after each workout and store it with sodium silicate bags for a fresh, smooth experience.

Before you begin, take a few minutes to read the instructions that come with your headset. Each device has its own setup and comfort tips, so it’s worth learning the basics before you start moving. Go through your headset’s built-in tutorial and safety guide, it will show you how to adjust the straps, draw your safe boundary, and get familiar with your controllers. Doing this once will make every future workout easier and safer.
When learning your controllers, pay special attention to the difference between the trigger and the grab button. The trigger sits under your index finger and is the only button you’ll need in Taebo Reboot. Use it to confirm choices or open menus. Every other action in the game is performed through bodily movement, your punches, kicks, and dodges. The grab button, under your other fingers, isn’t used, so you can relax and focus on form and rhythm.
